Loved the tour. Wish it could have been longer. The tour guide was beyond friendly and gave us a lot of historical information and local details about the area. You stop at an Amish store along the way where you can purchase fresh baked goods and fresh made lemonade, root beer and apple cider. And the prices were cheap! There's also a petting zoo! Had a great time!
Had an amazing experience here! Loved every second of it. The 2 buggy drivers were just awesome. They were both super nice, answered all our questions and had some great stories, I really learned a lot. Their horses were also very well maintained and taken care of. I highly recommend this place. Had a wonderful time here!
Our guide was polite and told us a little bit about what they were working on in the fields. He let my daughter ride in front and was very kid friendly. The shop we went to had really good jared peaches and freshly made ice cream. We got to feed the animals they had cute piglets, funny baby goats and she even got to ride a pony.
Awesome buggy ride! Very friendly and informative host! We were able to stop at the petting zoo!
Paid $60 for 2 people for a 60 minute tour which was supposed to include a stop at a local farm but we didn’t stop at all. No explanation. The prices at the stand are higher than what they advertise on their website. The ride itself was decent and the driver knowledgeable, but for what we paid we could have gone to a much better tour closer to Ronks which actually takes you on a farm tour. Don’t waste your money here.
The cashier lady was racist and rude to our family after we purchased tickets for the Amish buggy ride. Our family is Asian American and traveled over 5 hours to see the Amish. It was Sunday, and we learned that the Amish were not available to speak with, but that the ride would be 30 minutes instead of the usual 25 minutes. One child in our family is severely autistic and another has a learning disability but is overdeveloped in body. The cashier lady came and said that the children look like adults which is far from the truth. They are just tall. One is 10, the other is 11, and another is 14. The cashier lady said that the 14 year-old has to pay adult price. We paid the extra amount, but we were not made aware that children over 12 were considered adults by this facility. The cashier lady called out one family member from the buggy cart and yelled at her saying that we knew that the children over 12 were considered adults, which is so disgusting, disrespectful, and distasteful. That family member was wrongly embarrassed in front of family and strangers and our whole trip became sour and somber. The cashier lady was racist towards our family and made baseless assumptions and accusations. That is NOT the way customers should be treated. In addition, the host/the buggy rider, who is supposed to be a guide did not talk at all throughout ride and did not provide any information regarding Amish life. The ride was a rip-off as it barely lasted 15 minutes and did not take passengers to Amish backroads. It was literally a short ride in the same direction that our family drove from. Nothing unique and could have been done solo by walking or driving for free. This was definitely not the authentic and amicable Amish experience we signed up for.
Paid for a 25 minute tour. Lasted about 10. No tour. Up the road and back. Driver never said a word. Don't waste your time
I liked that it is deep in the farms and that there are a lot of train wagons. The place is right behind the East Strasbourg train station.
The buggy rider didn't seem very friendly at first, but he ended up being okay.
We went here on Sunday October 1st and paid good money for a buggy ride to learn about the Amish and our driver said absolutely nothing!!! And ride was maybe 20 minutes long if that
We had a good experience. We chose the 25 minute ride and lasted 25-30 minutes. It's a horse drawn ride so you don't go far, but we did come back to Linda's store after the ride. Guide was super nice young man, and local to the area.
